The factory started on the 1-st of October 1939 as the first aircraft workshop in Bulgaria.
During the years there have been developed capabilities for the overhaul of over 32 models of aircraft and 30 types of engines. Since November 2008 the company became part of AGP Group, with Telecom JSC. being the major shareholder.

At present "TEREM GEORGI BENKOVSKI" Ltd., Plovdiv is an Aircraft Repair factory with a great potential for integrated repair activities. The factory is spread on 330 000 sq.m. 54 000 sq.m. of which cumulatively form the GBA allocated on three separate sites.
The production capacity is distributed in three production units :

The airplane and avionics unit
Engine overhaul and
Test Station for airplane engines
Civil production unit

The factory is certified under ISO and its quality management system is in compliance with ISO 9001-2000.

The plant’s name symbolizes reliable partnership in many countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Overhaul of Aircraft /OA/
OA is a major unit in the structure of the plant specialized in aircraft overhaul. The OA section carries out general overhaul of MiG-21 (all modifications), MiG-23 (all modifications), Su-25K, Su-25YBK, Su-22M4, Mi-24D, Mi – 17. The unit carries out maintenance and repair of MiG – 29. In 2008 there has been established a workshop for technical servicing of helicopters “Cougar”.

Engine Overhaul /EO/
EO is a major unit in the structure of the plant specialized in aircraft-engine overhaul. The EO section carries out general overhaul of the engines “Р13-300”, “Р25-300” used in MiG-21, “Р-13Ш” used in Su-25, “Р29-300”, “Р29Б-300”, “Р27Ф2М-300”, “Р35- 300” used in MiG-23, “РД-33 сер.2” used in MiG – 29, main reducers and auxiliary/ancillary/secondary power stands/devices for helicopters Mi – 17 and Mi - 24. In 2008 there has been established a workshop for technical servicing of helicopter engines “Makila 1A1”.

Testing Station
The Testing Station carries out complex testing of aircraft engines: “Р13-300”, ”Р25-300” used in MiG-21; “Р-13Ш” used in Su-25, “Р29-300”, “Р29Б-300”, “Р27Ф2М-300”, “Р35-300” used in MiG-23; “РД-33 сер.2” used in MiG-29; “ТВ3-117” used in helicopters Mi -17and Mi-24; helicopter reducers “ВР-14” and “ВР-24” used in helicopters Mi -17 and Mi -24.

Civil Production Section.
This section accepts orders from civil companies for the manufacturing of parts as well as for metal processing services and galvanic coating of parts of the customer. The section offers standard capillary or plasmic and gas welding jobs.
